TOPAZ  is one of four parts of the artist’s 1900 “Precious Stones”. The woman in the foreground is meant to bring to mind an unearthly goddess from a world inaccessible to ordinary mortals. Each of the four works is characterized by soft, harmonious colors that work perfectly together, creating a surprisingly perfect image.
