The painting ” The Tree of Life ” by Gustav’s hand is  a paintingthat the painter created on the walls of the dining room  in the Stoclet Palace in Brussels . Klimt began work on the painting in 1905 and finished it only in 1909. The painting belongs to the so-called golden series, or mosaic decorations finished with gold leaf. The tree of life is a symbol known in almost every culture. The roots attach it to the ground, the branches grow above its surface and reach for the sky. In this way,  it connects three spaces and shows the striving of man . The rich symbolism of the tree also refers  to the male and female spheres .
